Well, I’m just back from the first Machine Show, out in Braidwood, New South Wales.
What a cracker! Chilled vibe and heaps of bikes – vintage, classic and custom.
I think the big party was Friday night but we arrived after the long drive from Melbourne after an overnight stop in Albury. Saturday gave us the judging and awards, and a laid-back bar and some fire pits for the evening.
The bikes were great. There were lines of them on the showgrounds, and something to suit most bike lovers. From restored classics, to wild customs, there was a bit of everything. And for a Melbournian, not many bikes I’d seen before, which is always a welcome change.
Definitely be planning to return next year, and make sure I make it for the kick off at Friday noon.
Here are a bunch of my favourite pics from the SLR. Click to blow out the enlarged version. I have high resolution versions of these – email me if you’re interested in a copy.
