Matt McLeod
Matt is a qualified mechanical engineer and adult trainer. He has worked with machines his whole career, and turned his skills and attention to helping motorcyclists in 2012. Matt has written technical articles for BikeEXIF, Return of the Cafe Racer and Bike Brewers. His focus is helping DIY custom bike builders get their projects finished and on the road.

The whole objective of the Academy is to “shorten the learning curve”. You can figure all this stuff out on your own with enough research. I’m aiming to help those who want to get done sooner. If you're unsure at all, don't buy. Have a look at our Resources page for all the free stuff we provide.
Membership includes full and immediate access to our exclusive video training and document downloads. Questions can be submitted against course lessons, and I'll be the one who answers anything you ask.
Once per month, I hold a live call at two different times (to suit different time zones). This live call will be either:
- Teaching a topic that members have requested , or
- Answering questions that have been submitted by members
These monthly calls are recorded and cataloged, so you can search back through the index to see if your question has already been answered.
I’m generating new content as quickly as I can – based on what the community members tell me they need help with.
Occasionally you'll get emails from me asking what your big problems are - I'm using these to gauge what training I need to create next.
I like conducting training in person. And I’ve done quite a bit of it.
Video gives me the opportunity to explain concepts in plain English (sorry, I can only speak English) and demonstrate hands-on skills, similar to what I might do in a class setting.
Everything is explained from the most basic principles. No prior knowledge is assumed. And if you have a question, simply type it under the video lesson and I'll be able to provide more assistance.
So the videos are just me, in my shop, explaining “how-to”, demonstrating “how-to” and walking you through skills and projects of increasing complexity – helping you shorten the learning curve.
